I am a second-year postgraduate student in the Master’s Program in School Psychology at the University of Cyprus. I hold a BSc in Psychology (2024) from the University of Manchester, where I gained a strong foundation in psychological theory and research methods. My undergraduate dissertation, “Exploring the Role of Individual Differences in Empathy and Psychopathy on Face Recognition”, not only sparked my interest in socio-cognitive processes but also refined my research-related abilities. For my MA thesis, I am investigating the relationship between Theory of Mind (ToM), Specific Language Impairment (SLI), and Reading Disorder (RD), with a particular focus on Executive Functions (EFs), in school-aged children, under the supervision of Dr. Timothy Papadopoulos. In addition, I collaborate with Anastasia Ioakeim and Dr. Georgios Spanoudis.
My passion for working with children and diverse populations has been further strengthened through internships and volunteer experiences at institutions such as The Christos Steliou Ioannou Foundation and the Pancyprian Association for Supporting Individuals with ADD and ADHD. These experiences have provided me with valuable opportunities to apply theory in practice and to deepen my interest in developmental and educational psychology.
